Why adopt?

You can help now!

Every year, millions of wonderful, loving pets enter U.S. shelters, and tragically, far too many never make it out. In 2024 alone, approximately 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues, and a heartbreaking number of these, around 607,000 animals, were euthanized. Even more concerning, Pit Bull, Bully, and block-headed type dogs are among the most at-risk breeds, facing disproportionately high euthanasia rates—most often healthy and adoptable, but desperately in need of a home.

These statistics are unacceptable, and we know you agree!

Don't let another day go by for a dog in need. These incredible companions are waiting for a second chance. Open your heart and home today to a dog who dreams of a loving family.

Join us in being part of the solution—adopt, don't shop!

Our Adoption Process

Our goal is to find the best possible match between the dogs in our care and families looking to welcome a dog into their home. Therefore, we take our adoption process very seriously. Our process includes these steps because we want to ensure that we can find the best fit for our pups AND you so we can figure out the "Perfectly Paired" match!

We only schedule meet & greets with approved adopters.

Please note that our teams is made up entirely of volunteers so our processing times may vary but we try to get in touch within 48 - 72 hours of hearing from you.

1. Adoption application

Fill out our online application to let us know more about you, your family, your lifestyle and what it is you’re looking for in a dog companion. If you’re interested in a specific dog, you can include that information in the application. If you’re open to hearing about any dog in our care in order to find the best match, we’ll work on a general pre-approval with you. Part of our application means providing proof of residence as well as a vet check from current or previous pets.

2. Processing your application

One of our volunteer placement specialists will reach out to you via email (please check your spam folder) and text and will walk you through the process. After receiving proof of rescidence and vet check information, we’ll schedule a 30 - 45 minute video chat with you to walk through your application so that we can help determine the dog that would best fit with your family.

3. Adopting your dog

Once you’ve found the dog for you, we’ll coordinate a meeting for you, your family and the dog (this can be at our foster’s place, a park near the foster home, or an adoption event). If it’s the right match, you can finalize adopting your new family member right there via our online adoption process and take your new best friend home! If you need a couple of days to prepare, that's ok, too!

Adoption Fees

As a small rescue, we rely entirely on donations and adoption fees. These fees help us ensure every dog in our care receives a wellness visit at the vet, all mandatory vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella), heartworm and flea & tick preventatives, as well as spay/neuter surgery and a registered microchip.

The adoption fees do not cover our investments in the health and well-being of our dogs:

Puppies under 6 months: $400

Adult dogs (6 months - 7 years): $350

Seniors (7+ years): $300

*Adoption fees are subject to change. Additional fees may apply for puppies not altered.
